How to make life with a dog better

If your dog behaves like an angel at home, and on a walk — like a disgrace to the family, it is quite possible that he is uncomfortable. There are so many irritants on the street, and if the collar is strangling or the harness is rubbing in the armpits, then it's easier to get a screaming dragon instead of a dog.

Buy a good anatomical harness of Y-shaped design (this means that the front part of the harness should look like the letter Y — no straps across the dog's chest). The more places where the harness is adjustable, the better — so you can fit it to your pet.

It is not necessary to drag the dog to the bathroom after each walk — you can think of a system of high-speed paw washing in the hallway or in front of the front door. A small folding basin, a lapwash, a super-absorbent microfiber towel or disposable cloth napkins, a convenient foam for washing paws — choose a combination that will be convenient for you and for the dog.

Scientists have proved that dogs can detect lies

Scientists have proved that dogs can detect lies A group of scientists from the University of Vienna has proved that dogs, depending on the circumstances, can easily determine whether a person is deceiving them or not.

260 representatives of various breeds took part in a series of experiments conducted by specialists. The essence was simple: two bowls were placed in front of the animal, empty and with a treat. After that, the stranger, whom none of the animals had seen before, began to suggest where the food was. The clues were correct, so the dogs began to treat them with confidence.

Then the second assistant carried the food from one bowl to another, while the first one carefully watched what was happening. Then the second stranger did the same thing, but the first assistant was no longer there. After that, the first part of the experiment was repeated. It turned out that the dogs ignore the advice of a person who was not there when shifting treats. In addition, 52% refused to follow the advice of someone who saw the food being cleaned and then tried to convince the dogs that it was in the same place.

Interestingly, such experiments were previously conducted with chimpanzees and children under 5 years old. They were much more likely to trust the advice of liars than dogs.
